Screw conveyors can be made with a whole range of different types of screw flights and screw housing designs - troughs.

The design is determined by the material to be transported.

SCREW SPIRAL DESIGN:

• Standard spiral blades for normal transport.
• Coreless blades transport for of adhesive, viscous or cohesive material.
• Ribbed blades for transporting adhesive, viscous or cohesive material.
• Paddle shaped blades for mixing and transporting material.
• Water-cooled spiral core for hot materials such as spheres for boiler cleaning.

SCREW HOUSING (TROUGH) DESIGN:

• Rolled U-shaped.
• Bent U-shaped.
• Tubular shape.
• Design for double screws.
• Water-cooled screw trough for hot materials (double base).

The screw motor is optimised in the same way. Size and speed are calculated in TS's own programme based on many years of experience with different and difficult materials, transported at all angles from horizontal to vertical.
