A wide range of sizes of airlocks are mainly used to achieve airtight connections on cyclones and filter vessels, but also as feeders in transport systems. Generally used for dry powder materials or similar.

The largest locks are manufactured from steel plates that are well braced to avoid tolerance deviations and then machined with high precision.

For stainless steel locks, stresses are removed after welding to ensure the lowest possible weld stresses.

BENEFITS:

  • Large rectangular asymmetrical inlets for optimal filling. The material is given plenty of time to fill the individual lock chambers (large locks).
  • Knife or blades to cut large pieces so that the lock does not stop. Also used to clean the rotor blades before operation (Large airlocks).
  • Maximum number of lock blades in contact with the lock wall at any time
  • Very high tolerance requirements for machining the components
  • Minimal clearance between rotor and airlock housing depending on operating temperature.

OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Direct coupled motor.
  • Hard chrome on interior surfaces.
  • Ventilated airlock housing.
  • Water-cooled airlock for high temperature applications.
  • Rotation watch.
