Tratec Agdermaskin and Tratec Aanestad are merging. The merger was marked with marzipan cake at a general meeting on Monday this week. The merger will formally come into effect at the turn of the year. In the meantime, efforts are being made to create new work structures.
Tratec Agdermaskin AS at Nodeland - the acquiring company in the merger - has already changed its name to Tratec Solutions AS.
- "The name change helps to clarify the Group's focus on complete product solutions," says newly appointed CEO of Tratec AS, Bent-Ståle Johansen.
THE COMPANY WILL will be headed by Trond Robstad, who currently manages Tratec Agdermaskin AS, and will consist of around 70 employees in two departments - one at Nodeland and one at Forus in Stavanger. Total turnover in 2020 is expected to be around NOK 190 million.
- "For Tratec Agdermaskin AS, the merger and name change will be nothing but positive. "We will gain new expertise that will strengthen us competitively and make the company a safer and more professionally interesting workplace," says Robstad.
THE TAKEOVER OF the bankruptcy estate of Roxel Energy at the end of August, Tratec AS secured leading market positions in the production of systems for mail sorting, baggage handling for airports and bulk handling for industry.
All key personnel at Forus have remained in the business.
THERE ARE TWO COMPANIES with long and proud traditions on each side are now joining forces. Roxel Energy's history dates back to 1942, when Arne Aanestad Mekaniske Verksted was established.
Tratec Agdermaskin AS was established in 1948, and has gone from supplying simple machines to producing large, complex systems for transporting, storing and processing bulk materials. The company is also involved in the maintenance and classification of offshore rigs, as well as service and maintenance of machinery and equipment for industry.
- THE TWO ENVIRONMENTS will complement each other and make the group even better equipped to deliver major projects in bulk handling for industry and logistics solutions for mail and baggage. In addition, the group's automation company, Tratec Norcon, will be able to provide specialist expertise and delivery of management and control systems," says Johansen.
He emphasises that with the establishment of Tratec Solutions AS, current and new customers will have access to a unified and highly experienced professional environment that can plan, design, deliver and commission automated bulk handling and logistics solutions.
