"Tratec Solutions understands the industry, has knowledge and experience. That means a lot to us," says project manager Ragnhild Jensen of the industrial group Elkem.

In 2020, she led a procurement project for Elkem Bremanger, which involved investing in a new material feed system. Tratec Agdermaskin - which has now become Tratec Solutions - was chosen as the supplier.

- The system ensures spot feeding into the melting furnaces," says Jensen.

The pipes used have a diameter of 500 millimetres and have a wear coating that was welded on in Poland. The actual installation work was carried out by Tratec Solutions.

Elkem Bremanger is located in the western Norwegian municipality of Svelgen. The smelter's main products are ferrosilicon and silicon metal.
