Tratec AS is a privately owned industrial group with locations in southern Norway, eastern Norway and Trøndelag. The group was founded in 1996 and today we have more than 500 employees in four companies with a combined turnover of NOK 1 billion. We develop and maintain systems and services for the construction, transport, industrial, private, offshore, municipal engineering and maritime sectors.

Our history
Below you can read highlights from our proud company history.
Teknikken AS is established in Farsund - with a small but dedicated team of 10 people.
The driving force behind the start-up was the desire to build a safe, stable and long-term workplace.
Three years after start-up, in 2010, Teknikken becomes a part of the Tratec Group, which enters with 51 % shares.
With this, we took a big new step, now that Tratec Teknikken AS - and we combined our local presence with the strength and advantages of a larger industrial group.
In 2011, Husebø VVS in Flekkefjord was incorporated into Tratec Teknikken AS. This was the first significant expansion outside Farsund, and represented the start of a strategy of regional expansion - bringing in existing local players with relevant expertise and integrating them into the Group.
Tratec Teknikken AS acquires Sønnico in Lyngdal, and with this starts our Lyngdal department. After this acquisition, we have grown considerably, and now count 86 employees.
In 2017, the pipework department in Mandal - Tratec Teknikken AS avd. Mandal rør - was established. This strengthened our presence in the Mandal area and further expanded our geographical coverage.
The following year - in 2018 - a merger took place with «AS Elektrisk Mandal». This step was important for combining plumbing and electrical services in the Mandal region, and positioned Tratec Teknikken as a total supplier in both plumbing and electrical - with increased capacity and a broader offering to customers in the region.
In 2021, a new pipe department was established in Kristiansand - Tratec Teknikken AS avd. Rør Kristiansand - to cover larger parts of the Agder region.
Tratec Teknikken AS is merging with «AS Elektrisk Kristiansand» and we will now have 200 plumbers and electricians in the same company, and we are now well-established as a significant turnkey supplier with great capacity in Agder and Southern Norway in general.
