The contract was won in strong competition with several major foreign players.

In connection with the expansion of Tromsø Airport, which was completed in 2024, Tratec Solutions delivered a complete new baggage system, contract value approximately NOK 85 million. Tromsø Airport serves more than 2.5 million passengers annually and has the highest traffic growth of any airport in Norway. Work is already underway on a new expansion to serve 3.5 million passengers annually. The project was carried out while the airport was operational, using temporary facilities that could be utilised while the new facility was installed.
