We are looking for a Trainee Design Engineer within mechanical construction. We're looking for someone who is passionate about the field and has the ambition to join us in creating and delivering the logistics solutions of the future.

Work tasks

As a Trainee, you will start in the workshop and out on site together with our experienced fitters to build knowledge of the structure and functionality of the products in practice and not least the environment in which they will operate and the risks you must relate to. You will then be accompanied by our design engineers to build your professional expertise, which involves:

• Practical experience of installation, commissioning and maintenance of plants - emphasised on mechanical, but also some electrical and automation.
• Development and construction of machines and systems
• Production of functional descriptions, production and purchasing documentation and test procedures.
• The trainee period is typically 2-3 years, during which time you usually move into a Design Engineer role when your expertise has reached the required level.

You must expect some travelling to our customers' processing facilities

We are looking for you who

• Newly qualified engineer/civil engineer/technical college and in mechanical subjects and preferably with experience/professional certificate as a mechanic, automation mechanic or automation engineer.
• Have a practical understanding and keen interest in mechanical engineering
• Knows 3D modelling (Inventor) or is motivated to learn
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, written and spoken
• Are willing to learn, structured and have good teamwork skills
