The Saipem semi-submersible drilling rig Scarabeo 8 was in for special periodical survey at Westcon Yard in \u00d8len during the fall of 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">Thanks to our high-quality work and unbeatable prices, we won the project for Saipem to supply 5-year overhaul and recertification of the 4 maintenance baskets (type NOV) from Scarabeo 8 during the SPS.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">The equipment was sent to Tratec\u2019s overhaul workshop at Nodeland in Southern Norway. Our scope of work was 5-year inspections, overhaul, change of parts, sandblasting, painting, reassembly, testing and certification.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">We used our in-depth knowledge and experience within NOV drilling equipment, workshop overhaul, access to original parts, and our efficient project execution model, to meet our clients needs.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span dir=\"auto\">THIS RESULTED IN:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">All equipment was fully DNV certified and overhauled with original parts for a 5 year operation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">On-time delivery of the project.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">A considerable cost and time savings for Saipem.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<h3><span dir=\"auto\">WE PROVIDE DRILLING EQUIPMENT PARTS AT UNBEATABLE PRICES, WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE QUALITY.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">We can deliver considerable cost savings to our customers due to our lower cost base-system for compatible parts and utilizing our experienced drilling equipment employees at competitive rates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span dir=\"auto\">Tratec is an independent supplier of drilling equipment overhaul, SPS, and parts.
