The system was installed on board Hugin Explorer and consisted of a storage system for 3,000 nodes, a robot for retrieval, a lift for transporting nodes to the service deck and a trolley for delivery to the ROV.<\/p>\n<p>The nodes are deployed in a pattern on the seabed using ROVs. Seismic is shot over the nodes to obtain information about the oil and gas content of the reservoir. After data collection, the nodes are brought back to the vessel using ROVs.
